Tesla Promise with Jeff Civillico

Disclaimer: I Do Not own a Tesla, although I would love to someday, and especially after this Promise worthy story was posted and shared on Instagram by my dear friend, beloved Host, Emcee, Speaker, and Award-Winning Las Vegas Entertainer Jeff Civillico. This whole post today is a screen shot, as it comes to us from Instagram, but how can you not LOVE a story like this? To paraphrase – his Tesla got a flat and the next thing Jeff knew, logging into the Tesla app, he was suddenly transported into the Tesla Promise World of Customer Service that tops most car service stories I have ever heard.  This is above and beyond service, this is Promise level awesomeness!     Thank you Jeff for sharing and allowing me to post this here. Pioneer Trek Pa

For the past 4 days my wife and I have been wandering the mountains of Utah in 1847 pioneer clothing re-enacting the legendary Mormon Pioneer crossing of 175 years past. Pushing and pulling a wooden handcart filled with our belongings, up a trail too rocky to push anything, through a river, and more dust than a pig would ever want to roll in, we have just made a pilgrimage of our descendant’s legacies and religious beliefs in order to consider the struggles they endured and reaffirming our faith in the the future. Of course, we had REI shoes, ice blocks placed daily in our coolers of Gatorade, and Oakley sunglasses…new world luxuries mixed with old world legacies, the stuff of legend, as we walked, sang hymns, shared pioneer stories, and toiled in the scorching sun under the banner of gratitude for the beauty of the earth, mountains, and glory to God. My wife & I were not alone, and perhaps in the future I’ll write more extensively about this semi-crazy, yet powerfully reaffirming experience we go through every 4 years, after prepping for most of a year, as we were joined by some 600 others in our community to walk

Middle Ages

This past week my article was about being crowned the world’s worst axe throwing dad. I gave it a good effort in putting a point to it – not the axe, but the story – as my 10-year old son, Royal, bested me in every way.  Even to my delight. But a comment left on the post by my friend, and one of the world’s great wordsmiths, actually knocked me off of my seat. I read it while in the Sky Lounge in the Minneapolis Airport, in between speaking at events and travel, and was so taken aback that people were looking at me as I was visibly shaken, laughing, and moved by the wonderfulness of his comment. Here it is, from the GREAT Thomas Cantrell:   Worry not, Jason, you do have a future alongside your famous axe throwing son. You have advanced in life to being Royal Squire* (or is that Royal’s Squire). Axe Throwing with Royal

Last week I was the Keynote Speaker for 2 different companies who just so happened to book me at the SAME event center in the SAME city on back to back afternoons!  That is considered the greatest luck of the draw for someone in my kind of career and worth 3 exclamation points!!! That meant I could take my best buddy, Royal, along with me for an overnighter, skip school, swim in the hotel pool, enjoy exploring the city, and have some one-on-one time with The Dude. As we awaited the start of the 2nd event, we found a fun center where you can try AXE THROWING at a place called LUMBERJACKED – boom! Royal was persistent in his request to try it and we paid for a half hour slot. The instructor gave us some tips, such as best way to stand, hold the axe, and to not toss it to each other… He then proceeded to easily flick the axe, hitting bullseye over and over again. Simple enough. Royal went for it, and proceeded to stick the axe over and over, getting closer to a bullseye with each attempt, gleefully squealing with delight at the simplicity of this
