New Web Site and Videos

As an annual Promise to myself and client base, we revamp the WEB SITE, logo, images, powerpoint slides, newsletter, and VIDEO – EVERY SINGLE YEAR.

If you’ve ever been in search of a Speaker for your events you know this is not a normal industry-wide commitment.  I have some speaker and entertainer friends with web sites that are over 10 years old (eeeh!), and make a video every 5 years.

My look is ever-changing – not just from shaven to a beard, 20/20 vision to big glasses – but the whole of what I do, say, entertain, and how I engage, is constantly moving in a forward direction.

The Promise isn’t just a talk, it is a business driving, success oriented, mission based philosophy.

What does this have to do with you?

Well, I ask you the same as I might ask an old friend in the speaking business looking for my advice:

How old is your web site?

Have you refreshed your logo lately?

Maybe the footer on your emails still has a so-last-year title?

When was the last time you wrote a blog post about your industry and your influence in it?

Are you consistent in your writing and creating?

Is your head shot on the Company’s About Page the same Glamour Shot from high school?  Time to hire out the local photographer!

In 2018 Our Family Looks Different Than We Did a Few Years Ago

As I am asked to speak at events worldwide, at this point we are sifting through the offers and requests from large and small events we should or shouldn’t do.  One quick glimpse of a web site that looks outdated makes me believe the event will have ancient practices, a leadership that is disinterested in changing anything, a workforce that is tired and worn out, too.

That’s not a client I want to work with, unless they’re interested in my opinion of an overhaul for the sake of their survival.  I’ll tell it like it is, and last year over 50 companies paid me lots of money to do that, while others run for the hills to stay safe from The Promise hitting too close to the office or home.

Yes, we turned away more than 100 requests to speak last year alone.

Whether I have a new web site every year or not won’t make or break my business.

What really matters is what I do on stage.

If I can ignite inspiration, engage and energize a sleepy room of two thousands conference goers, make IT guys and engineers laugh outside of their bodies, get a standing ovation where they usually have never seen one, then I’ve done my job.

But without a new looking web site, new video, or a head shot that makes me look 25 when I appear to have aged like Obama did while in office, I may not get that chance.

What is holding you back, in your area of expertise and performance, from landing the job, even getting the opportunity?

Anticipate the changes, see the trends of those most successful in business, and if you will mimic those masters of the craft you might be able to keep up.

Perhaps you’re the industry leader?  Have fun keeping ahead of the game, it’s rough having a bullseye on your back, but it’s the best place to be.

Hope you’ll CHECK OUT MY NEW WEB SITE with new videos and new ways of explaining what The Promise can do for your next event.

And if you CHECK OUT MY VIDEO and leave a COMMENT we may become best friends.
