Friends of this blog – I have a whopper of a story for you today. You may be surprised to see me posting a blog and photo with Tucker Carlson, whom I never met until a week ago, and am now going on tour with across America. Regardless of your politics I hope you’ll give this post a chance today.
Last Saturday, Sept. 7, 2024, I was on stage at the Delta Center in SLC, UT, opening the show for Tucker Carlson and Glenn Beck, as a part of a sponsorship by my Dad’s company, Cardio Miracle.
The quick 15-minute performance perhaps changed my life, as I was an unknown entity to the tour manager, and they were terrified, yet reluctantly allowed me to open the show based upon our sponsorship of the event and since it was my hometown (and saved them having to pay the travel of another act).
3 months prior, my Dad had offered to sponsor the Utah stop on Tucker’s tour, and then told the tour director, that I, his son, and president of Cardio Miracle, is a great performer and should open the show…
You can imagine the eyebrows this raised for the folks running a stadium and arena tour.
My Dad is the world’s greatest salesman, but even this was a stretch.
“Your son is a performer? If he’s so great, then why is he the president of Cardio Miracle?”
Valid questions for anyone to ask.
My web site for the past decade no longer reflects that I am a great performer on stage, but rather focuses on keynote speaking, so it was a nearly impossible and unreasonable sell. I had tried to convince them I would be a great opener and entertainer, even singing over the phone, but they couldn’t wrap their minds around how my faces, raptor, impressions of Journey, and singing “God Bless The USA” could even make sense in one set…
I sympathized with their confusion and promised them all would go well.
On Saturday, at 6:59 PM, as I stood at the edge of the stairs to take the stage, I was reminded by the tour manager that there would be great consequences if I didn’t kill, as they had celebrity comedians and performers (Rob Schneider on previous stops) banging their doors down for this opportunity in every city. I smiled and said, “I know. Let’s see how this goes,” as I confidently ran up the stairs to face 10,000 audience members without even an introduction in my hometown arena.
My set was:
Doobie Brothers – “Listen To The Music”
REO Speedwagon – “Can’t Fight This Feeling”
Journey – “Open Arms” (Broken Arms parody)
Guns n’ Roses – “Sweet Child O’ Mine” (brought out of retirement for this opportunity – including Marge Simpson)
Led Zeppelin – “Black Dog” (brought out of retirement thanks to Cardio Miracle fixing my voice)
Faces & Raptor
Signature Moves and The Promise mixed in the narrative
“God Bless The USA” to close
(hoping to get video from the tour after it’s all said and done)
By 7:15 PM, the whole stadium was standing, waving their phones and lights, singing, crying and cheering, as I bowed and ran off stage to a stunned crew, tour, and group realizing I could not only handle this event, but should be a part of the rest of their tour.
For my career, I have generally done any and every gig that is offered to me, regardless of what they sell, if I would buy their product, or the backstory of their company.
Politically this event was a tricky thing for me, to be candid. I have family and loved ones of all faiths, political affiliation, and most of my friend base would not approve of me even being associated with such a tour. I had never listened to Tucker, or Glenn, or anyone really, as I just have too much going on with my family, leading multiple businesses and organizations, and creating content to share with the world.
I’m embarrassed to admit that I haven’t given politics, or where I stand, much thought in order to avoid confrontation, although I consider myself a patriot, having donated nearly a month in 2014 to go to Afghanistan in the middle of the war to bring joy to the US Troops, and believe in the reasons our Founding Fathers came to our Country and all those who have fought for our freedom.
Mostly I believe we should all love one another, reach across the aisle, hold hands as peacefully as we can.
And so, as I sat backstage and was asked to join this tour, sans payment, as trade for further sponsorship of my Dad’s company, this was his dream, and I want my Dad to continue to succeed however I can add to that. I also truly believe in Cardio Miracle, as it has saved my health, and changes the lives of every person I know who has committed to take it consistently.
We spent an insane amount as sponsor on one show, in SLC, to promote Cardio Miracle. It was the ultimate gamble for my Dad. Sadly, half of the handouts we prepared weren’t given out because so many people ran through multiple sets of doors our team was told the wrong information about where to set up, even though we were fully prepared, having worked on this for 3 months. Our video wasn’t played in the arena that would have helped us with ROI on the event. We were only sponsoring one show, and it was a make or break event for my Dad.
By the next day I was receiving texts from the once concerned tour manager, now my biggest advocate and fan, asking how many dates I could do in between all of my other JHE gigs already booked for a busy September.
The next thing I knew I was booking flights across America to try and make every stop of this tour, as the opening fun, family-friendly, comedy and music guy to pump up the crowd.
As I listened to Tucker Carlson and Glenn Beck in my hometown I resonated with what they talked about.
My Dad and I raced to Wichita, KS to do the show Friday night, as Tucker’s guest there was Charlie Kirk, another guy I’d never heard of.
As I listened to their conversation, I appreciated what they said and am grateful to be on a tour that is bringing a lot of personalities together to discuss hard things, while proving there is still a love of country, the constitution, and truth to be shared.
I won’t agree with every guest, I won’t become friends with them because it’s chaotic backstage on a tour with celebrities.
But I can say this – Tucker Carlson is sure a nice guy, and his team is treating my Dad and I great.
They have agreed to consider my performances as trade for the Cardio Miracle sponsorship, which is pretty much the right amount for each night I’m giving up with my family and other gigs at full fee to do this tour.
If you are interested in seeing me, this may be the only arena/stadium tour I’ll ever get to do. Here is the web site, here are the dates and Tucker’s guests at each stop. Just make sure you’re on time, because I’m on at 7 PM each event.
This opportunity will allow me to spread love, patriotism, The Promise, and fun to over 100,000 people throughout America in September as a show of unity and freedom of speech. I’m so grateful to have such a chance to share my gifts with so many. Thanks to Tucker Carlson and his team, and especially to my Dad, John Hewlett, for believing in me and betting the farm on my performance.

My wife Linda and I saw you for the first time about 10 years ago and were absolutely blown away by your performance. Your presentation, your style, your jokes, your impersonations, your singing are all notch. I am so proud of you and your dad And what you’ve done with Cardio Miracle, not to mention being selected to go on tour with Tucker. Yes, your dad is an amazing salesman and an amazing personality in his own right.
We wish you the best of success and only wish we could’ve caught your show in Salt Lake . But know that our thoughts and prayers will be with you and Tucker‘s tour.
That’s very kind of you Jim, give our best to Linda and thank you for such great support all those years ago and still today.
You were a speaker ant a conference I attended a few years ago and have been living “the promise” ever since. Thank you for your inspiration. I wish I would have been able to see you and Tucker Carlson in Wisconsin this week. Thanks for all you do! God Bless America!

Jason, I was at the event in Hershey, PA. You brought the house down. You were worth the price of admission just by yourself.
Oh my goodness! Thank you for saying that, Meg. You are too kind. That was a crazy adventure for everyone with the security challenge. You’re awesome.
