5 years ago today I was completely unknown to a majority of my professional speaking and performing peers, and by the end of the night, in one flash moment, in one performance, I was suddenly praised by the Legends of the industry and became an “overnight success”, catapulted to the top of my profession.
A week later I was in Afghanistan performing for the US Troops, 17 months later had written a post that went viral worldwide, and within 2 years was floored to be inducted as one of the youngest recipients ever in the Speaker Hall of Fame with the NSA.
It is rare for me to simply refer back to a blog post, but THIS ONE I have just rediscovered from my old Entertainer site, as a pivotal and momentous occasion in my career and life history that I thought is relevant to this date.
If you haven’t read it I recommend you check it out and feel of my complete enthusiasm for that night, June 30, 2014, which forever altered my career, and led to the launching of The Promise as we know it.

When it’s your turn to launch, to be acknowledged, and to realize, no matter how long you’ve waited, it WILL HAPPEN and YOU CAN’T GIVE UP ON IT.
