Last week I had a most unique opportunity to help the Salt Lake Chamber keep their Promise to 1,300 attendees of their most prestigious award honoring The Giant in our City to Governor Gary Herbert.
Rather than having the event at the beautiful Grand America Hotel in downtown SLC, due to the COVID-19 restrictions and concerns, they had the event at the creative solution of the Drive-in Theatre!
Yes, everyone did their best to keep socially distanced, stayed in their cars, wore masks, we wiped down microphones and I even performed over the FM Radio transmitter with honking horns for applause. A very wild and unique experience.
I was bot the Host of the evening and the Performer.
What a joy to be a part of the SL Chamber keeping The Promise to so many people who wanted to honor our great Governor at this challenging time, as they came up with the idea of making the event still work and keep everyone safe.
Honored to have been a part of it, I hope you enjoy this video explaining what happened that night!
Have you ever seen an event like this? Me neither!
