You’ve enjoyed paperback books and hard covers, perhaps you prefer loading every book onto one device as an eReader/eBook, or maybe you’re like me and love the option of listening to the author read an audiobook on Audible, and if you liked the book enough you’ll buy every variation I’ve just listed.
However, I bet you haven’t heard of, or seen, a Video Book quite yet!
I guess in a way it’s kind of like a movie. Just a shorter, segmented into chapters kind of movie. Without actors, almost a documentary in this case. It’s hard to describe, so I guess you’ll just have to watch it to see what I mean.
A Video Book is what this Video is about. It is the recreation of Chapter 1 of my new book, “The Promise To The One”, with me as narrator. Here it is, the official launch – ENJOY!
We anticipate a large bookstore such as Amazon, or possibly even movie production company like Prime, Netflix, or others will offer Video Books in the future.
Until then, I hope you enjoy this first chapter of the book. I absolutely LOVE how this turned out.
To me, this is a revolutionary idea, and executed beautifully by Primeau Productions, the mastermind of Chuck Gallagher. They did an incredible job.
Over a few days in February I traveled to South Carolina to record the reading and filming of the entire book: in front of a green screen, standing for 8 hours a day, for 3 days. It was quite taxing physically, and my voice was shot by the end. But wow, it was awesome!
My family (meaning: wife, children, mom and brother, Jared) searched high and low through attics, bins, scrapbooks, and hard drives to dig up videos, photos, newspaper clippings, and other supporting materials to include in this extremely autobiographical book that is now a video.
You will see here clips, photos, videos I’ve never shared or released to the world, in order to make “The Promise To The One” come alive for the reader/listener/viewer.
This is so extraordinary, and to me, perhaps one of the greatest legacy projects of my life, that my family can have forever of the telling of these stories.
The video is about 20 minutes long as Chapter 1, and yes, this will also be the chapter’s audio recording for the book that is available when the book launches officially on August 18, 2020.
