Launch: The Jason Hewlett Show podcast and livestream broadcast

The other day I was scrolling. Ok, I admit: doomscrolling.

I got sucked into that vortex of news: negative stories of tragedy, confrontation, arguments, debates, which devolved into anger, sadness and hate rapidly.

Realizing I was going on this path, I took a moment to check my algorithm and was amazed at how easily we can be caught up in going down this slippery slope.

To cleanse myself of the feeling of ick all over my mind and spirit, I went to happier places: looked up a Mr. Rogers video, Bob Ross painting some clouds, found some spiritually uplifting speeches, gave room for hymnals that inspired, searched for feel good videos and stories that I could share with my children:

• A boy with mental disabilities suddenly celebrated for hitting 3 pointers in a basketball game;
• An artist painting with 10 hanging buckets, spinning colors of the rainbow in circles to a giant canvas;
• A cat massaging and doing chiropractic work on its golden retriever brother…

 

Then the baby goats showed up, dancing and prancing on benches, backed by Julie Andrews singing “The Sound of Music” and all was right with my world and algorithms.

What fills your feed?

And in turn, what equally is filling your cup and soul?

Today is, by many, including myself, a holiday recognizing the most important day in the history of the world:

Easter morning!

The celebration of our Savior and Redeemer conquering death and being Resurrected, breaking the bands of physical mortality, the possibility of hell and damnation, giving us a path and opportunity to accept His grace and Salvation to live with Him again.

Can that level of happiness find you in your algorithm? 

I’m concerned that for most of us we are unable to be found by the goodness in the world, and we must go in search of it.

So, I’m doing something about it in my little spot on the planet.

Since the beginning of January 2026, I have worked to create a weekly experience for anyone looking for the good stories in the world: Family, Faith-promoting, songs and inspiration, Fun and Funny – but not filthy – there’s not enough of this type of media out there. Its usually too kid-friendly for all to enjoy, or its too adult for kids.

It’s there, but you have to scour the web for it, and with great intention!

Now it’s finally available, from me. And thus I have BIG NEWS! 

As I begin this new adventure, we are calling it The Jason Hewlett Show, with a particular aim:

Be unique, uplifting, and positive, in a world where everyone is vying to grab your attention with soul-crushing, mind-numbing, degrading entertainment, along with negative, tragic and bad news. 

This is just me and a mic.

The piano gets a part once in a while as well.

Maybe I’ll have guests on someday, but for now, just this guy exercising his right to free speech and fair game on any and every topic, broadcast for the world to see.

What makes your show different and worth listening to? 

Well, first of all, I know my place.

I am an Entertainer turned Keynote Speaker, who moonlights as a mentor, consults various businesses and entrepreneurs, and occasionally writes books.

I am not the news, I have not informed myself well enough to add to the already noisy conversation. They focus on conflict, tragedy, conspiracy, destruction, sometimes hate, other times lack of communication between those who should listen to each other all the more.

Let’s let them fight it out over there, and tune in, if you dare.

With that in mind, I know what I can bring to a world of news, story, and media that others don’t focus on:

You’re here because you want to smile, feel good, be inspired, laugh out loud with the promise of family friendly material, learn from my mistakes, and be the best person you can be. So that is why we are aligned.

I am grateful for you being here with me, in my corner, and cheering me along. I’m cheering you on as well.

I hope you’ll consider tuning in to what I have to share on this special show, and that it brings light, laughter, and love in your heart in a world seemingly devoid of this option.

You’ll hear something you’ve not considered regarding most stories, news, topics, music, as I feel if Mr. Rogers, Jim Carrey, and Stephen Covey had a way to hold a night in concert with Billy Joel, that is the show.

There’s nothing like it, and no one else can do it the way I’m doing it.

We have already recorded 11 episodes as of this post going LIVE to begin April 2026, and they are pretty awesome, if you want to go back and check any of them out, they are HERE on YouTube. We have left them unedited, despite our AI-integration mistakes, and received feedback to make every episode better on a weekly basis.

We are striving to make it innovative, interesting, sometimes have fallen into bizarre terrain, and have righted the ship to something I’m very proud of in the last few episodes.

Those who have watched say the result is fantastic.

 

Below is where you can find it, and whether you choose to watch or listen, I hope it’s something you look forward to on a weekly basis, as I GO LIVE Thursdays at 3 PM Mountain Time on YouTube, and various social media platforms when they link properly. It’s still hit or miss with working on LinkedIn, Facebook, and the like. We are tweaking it every time to make it available to those interested. The show is generally 45 minutes.
